Los Aztecas [Official Faction] LATitle1-1
Los Aztecas [Official Faction] 1991

Despite what most citizens of Los Santos may think, the Los Azteca story did not begin in San Andreas state. It began in Vice City, when its first boss known as Marco Mendez fled the state to escape an FBI investigation into a multiple homicide in a Puerto Rican neighborhood. He ran across the country; hitchhiking, stealing cars, anything to get a few more miles from the FBI. After two months of running, he found himself in the unfamiliar state of San Andreas, with nothing but his hustle and a few bills in his pocket. Feeling safe enough to rest his feet for awhile, he headed for East Los Santos. This was the heart of crime, drugs, and gang violence in all of San Andreas; which suited Mendez very well. He quickly became acquainted with the neighborhood turf kings, slum lords and drug peddlers, giving him all the right connections he needed to take control - and that is exactly what he did.

After only half a year in Los Santos, Marco had found his nitch in society. He began to buy off the slum lords, kill the turf kings and steal from the peddlers until the only way they could stay in business was to work for him. The civilians in the neighborhood quickly gave him the nickname “Aztec” because he took everything and left no one untouched, in one way or another. Soon he had a band of avid followers, and together they took control of East Los Santos within weeks. There wasn’t a single street where you couldn’t see teal turf tags decorating its walls, and it seemed as if everyone was wearing the mark of the brotherhood. They were known to the rest of the city as the, “Los Aztecas” and the name stuck. This was the birth of the modern Los Aztecas, as well as some of the most violent horrific struggles Los Santos has ever seen.

Los Aztecas [Official Faction] 1992

After almost a year had passed since any fighting between rival gangs had occurred, and the Aztecas were making enough money to support the entire neighborhood. But new troubles were brewing in the west. Now that the Aztecas were on the map, the crime families and the Police Department started to give them unwanted attention. As the pressure worsened, their grip on East Los Santos began to slip, and new gangs began to spring from the cracks. Knowing the rules, Marco’s members continued to use brute force and reputation to keep the other gangs at bay. But they all knew war was imminent, and it came to them in the form of Jamaican refugees from Liberty City. To the members, they seemed like the usual rival gang that would be crushed in a matter of days; but their underestimation got the better of them.

For weeks blood filled the gutters of East L.S., Jamaican and Hispanic alike. There was so much fighting that the police force didn’t dare intervene. After a month, both sides grew weary of the fighting, and each side saw their strength were dwindling away. Despite all the bloodshed, neither side would give in. In an attempt to finish the war, the leaders called for a final combat – midnight at Glen Park, on the evening of December 15th, 1992
Both gangs assembled, and both gangs bled. That night, gunfire was heard across Los Santos, and by the time the FBI and Police Department arrived at Glen Park; both sides had been laid to waist. And there, in the middle of the bridge laid Marco, his bullet-ridden chest heaving its last breaths before he died with his hand wrapped in his teal bandana. Around him were the bodies of what was left of the Jamaicans, including their “Bossmon” and his bodyguards. The remaining Aztecas limped away from the battle, back into the Eastside, were they wait for the rebirth of the once great Varrio Los Aztecas…

December 20, 1992
-Approximately One Week after the death of Marco Mendez-

Daniel squinted through his sunglasses at the vanilla-white casket. It was being carried by a number of men; all wearing teal bandanas and sunglasses - the funeral wear of a Varrio Los Azteca. He looked around the cemetery, noticing the lack of people that had showed for the Jefe’s funeral.
“We’ve made a lot of enemies in this town,” he thought to himself as he watched the casket being lowered into the ground.
There were only seven of them left, but they were the best of the best. If they survived the Jamaicans, they could survive anything. Except maybe the death of the Jefe, and the near extinction of the brotherhood entirely. Never the less they stood there, surrounding Mendez’s body looking down at him as he was dropped into a shallow grave. Once the casket had reached the bottom of the hole, they raised there heads and crossed their chests twice, muttering prayers of good fortune for Marco’s afterlife. Daniel glanced and Andre and Victor, the two heirs to the Los Azteca throne. They both stood at the head of the grave looking at each member, nodding silently in recognition.
“Okay hermanos,” Andre muttered with a wave of his hand. “Let’s give him some peace.” The precession slowly walked away as the cemetery staff quickly buried the tomb, sporadically glancing up at the teal-clad men, praying that nothing would go wrong as they left.

The cars were parked out front; two wheels popped up over the curb to make sure the paint on the street side remained unharmed. As they opened the doors each Azteca surveyed the surroundings - the cemetery was the perfect place for an ambush, and they weren’t exactly inconspicuous. Daniel hopped in the backseat of the low riding Savanna, as Victor started the engine and Andre leaned back in his seat, slowly pulling a handgun from his waist.
“Old habits die hard que no?” Daniel said jokingly to Andre, noticing the pistol sitting in his lap.
“What esé, you think we off the' hook? We made a few dangerous enemigo's that are still breathin’ out there, and I don’t like my enemies breathing…”
Victor took a sharp right onto Vinewood Avenue, followed by angry honks from the people behind him.
“Si'mon,” Daniel agreed, looking out the window at the blur of people walking down the sidewalk. “Shit carnal, I cant believe Marco’s gone! It’s up to us, the Varrio is ours now.”
Victor looked in the rear view mirror to make sure the other car was still following. Victor cleared his throat and raised his hand to draw their attention. “First things first, we gotta fill in the gaps those fuckin’ mayate's put in our turf, we need to move our operation east, around the Emerald nightclub or some shit…” his voice trailed off as it transitioned into thought.
Andre and Daniel nodded.
“It shouldn’t be too hard to take it back, there's nothing standin’ in our way homes, if we play our cards right we can have it back by the end of this week.” Daniel said, reaching into his shirt pocket for a cigarette.
“Yeah right esé, both you vatos forgot about one big prol’lem, the pinche 5-0! I bet they waitin’ right now at the Pig Pen just to snatch our asses up—matter ah’ fact—take the long way. Don’t drive straight down Vinewood Ave idiota! We about to get swooped up que no?!”
Just as those words left Andre’s mouth, sirens started blaring from behind them. All three of them spun around in their seats, Victor honked twice to the car behind to signal a split up. Daniel reached under the seat for his desert eagle, as Andre rolled down their windows.
Daniel cocked the hammer back on his pistol, the sweat from his palm making the gun hard to grasp.
“Here we go again carnales! You ready for this?”
Andre smiled. “We ride till we die homes, you know that!”
Daniel smirked and leaned out the window, putting the police car dead in his sights…

Los Aztecas [Official Faction] 2011Title

Years have passed since the reign of the Los Aztecas. The city of Los Santos has evolved, and society as a whole has grown to know a whole new level of crime. After the Aztecas uprising in the early 1990's, little has been heard of their existence after their near extinction in 1993. By the end of 1992, the Los Santos Police Department and FBI had enough evidence against the gang to shut them down almost entirely. Daniel Escobar and Andre Macaluso, two of the leading members in the Los Aztecas, were incarcerated only a few weeks after the death of their founder Marco Mendez. They were finally caught and arrested in a shootout at the Azteca owned Emerald Club, in East Beach Los Santos. The remainder of the gang dissipated after the arrests that had been made that day. By 1995, “Los Azteca” was simply a name known to those who still remember those horrific times – the gang itself was a ghost. New gangs moved in quickly, and soon the rivals of the Los Aztecas controlled the gun and drug trade all over Los Santos. With their jail time coming to an end, Daniel Escobar and Andre Macaluso began to plot a way to return to the streets, and reclaim their lost ground.
In early January 2011, Daniel Escobar Gaviria was released from jail on parole, and began to observe the changes that Los Santos had went through. He watched and waited, killing time as Andre Macaluso's release date neared. Now, both of them have been allowed back into society with the hopes that they will turn their lives around and begin to improve the community around them. But the two leaders of the Los Aztecas have a different agenda, as the old ideas still ring true – protect the Eastside, and protect “La Hermandad” at all costs.

This is where the story begins. This is where the story of the Los Aztecas will be re-written.

The only question is: Are the men of the East strong enough to answer their call? Will the Eastside be rebuilt to it's former glory in the face of it's newborn enemies?

Only you can answer that question.

Signed,

Carnalito(1):As the newest member and lowest rank of the Aztecas, There main priority is to collect money, and earn the trust and respect of other higher ranking members. They can complete these tasks in any [RP] way you see fit - trust is earned, not given. To earn more respect from the higher-ranking members they make sure they show their dedication to the Aztecas and give them the proper respect. Outsiders will report to an under boss/ boss if problems on the streets arise, so everyone in the gang stays informed.

Soldado(2):They are officially a known member of the Los Aztecas at this point, but new responsibilities accompany this new rank. They are still expected to earn money for the gang but you are now tasked with completing official orders handed down through the ranks; whatever they maybe. Every action you take towards a civilian or another gang will be seen as an action taken by the Los Aztecas, so think before you act. Increased gang participation will yield greater rewards, in the forms money and respect, and eventually a promotion.

Enforcer(3):The unwavering muscle of the Los Aztecas. They are the backbone of how we operate, the men that are expected to lay down anything for their Hermanos. They have earned the respect of the bosses/underbosses, and understand what it truly means to be an Azteca.

Warrior(4): A Warrior is an elite, efficient, and dedicated member of the Los Aztecas, and with this rank comes a number of new responsibilities. Warriors are responsible for lower-ranking members; keeping an eye on them, organizing them, etc. They never assume total control of anyone, but they serve as captain’s who report to the bosses. Another important duty of a Warrior is to protect the boss and under bosses if necessary. This might mean protection from cops, opposing gangs, or anyone who is trying to harm them. A Warrior is greatly rewarded for their loyalty, and should be respected throughout the Azteca ranks.

Segunda Corona (5): means “Second Crown”. Also known as a Fuerza Bruta, this is a member who has been with the Aztecas through thick and thin; someone who is capable of completing any task set before them in an efficient manner. They are feared and respected on a citywide scale, and their actions are only secondary to those of a Jefe. These ranked members lead Warriors and Soldiers into war. And one of their main roles in the gang is to protect the Jefe.

Primera Corona (6): means “First Crown”. Self-explanatory – This man is the boss, the “Jefe”. The person who controls the gang, he is first in command. His word is law.

1. Use Latin slang – make your character believable. Study the role of a Latino thug and learn some Spanish words, it makes RP much more fun puts you in the mindset much quicker. If you need assistance with this aspect of role play, just ask a higher-ranking member and they will be happy to help.
2. Always ride together! Never leave the Varrio without another Los Azteca. Pair up, or if there are more members on “squadding up” with multiple members is your best chance for survival and creates the best role play. Any member who continuously ignores this rule will face a demotion or a PK out of the gang.
3. Don't start gun battles, finish them.
4. An obvious rule – Do not DEATHMATCH. Every bullet you fire out of your weapon should be for a realistic, role play reason. A realistic reason is that you watched a rival gang member shoot down one of your Hermanos, but you got away and are ready to take revenge. An unrealistic reason would be if a civilian glances into your car and attempts to drive off. Pick your battles wisely.
5. If a officer pulls you over - you pull over. Take the ticket, if they ask for you to step out, you do so unless you have drugs or guns on you with no weapon license. This type of behavior should be practiced anytime you come in contact with the Police Force. Do not shoot unless absolutely necessary.
6. Try to limit yourself with remarks, and conversation in /b - less /b more RP.
7. Don't fuck around. We are serious role players, we try to best fit the role of a street hardened Latino gangster.
8. Show your best Role Play at all times, when you are representing the Los Aztecas, you will be expected to do so at all times .
9. All recruitment is done in character, all other applications/requests for an invite are void, escept for the OOC Application.
10. All members must have ventrilo installed on your computer. A mic is recommended, but not required. You must be able to hear all OOC chat between member so you are able to respond quickly and stay organized.

- Who ever breaks the rules will be PK'ed of the gang. Readmission will only be accepted if role play skills and listening skills have improved. Feel free to ask any question you may have through PM to Daniel Escobar.

Los Aztecas [Official Faction] RecruitmentTitlecopy-1

In order to join Los Aztecas, you must become familiar with our history as well as the basis of our role-play. Make sure you read our faction history and thoroughly understand where we come from. We are an independent gang created and based in Los Santos. By independent, we mean that we are not Nortenos/Surenos/MS-13/Mexican Mafia/Nuestra Familia/Crip/Blood/Disciple/Folk/People's Nation and do not RP as such. We role-play our bandanas as teal, and take a tough stance against enemy gangs who intrude on our area. We role-play a hardened and territorial Hispanic street gang. We base ourselves in Eastern Los Santos, meaning everything east of the train tracks that seperate Idlewood and Ganton. You will most often find us hanging around East Beach, Las Colinas, Los Flores, but we tend to frequent areas such as Grove Street, or even Willowfield.

Our roots in the early 90's place us in the times just before the transformation of modern gangs from mere ideological factions spreading among the inner-cities to full-fledged business machines. Therefore, we retain the idea that we are one faction, one people, and one inseparable group of brothers dedicated to the control and protection of the East side, however we also understand that there is profit to be made from the streets, and we look to benefit ourselves by dipping into that market. The basis in the early 90's also lends to the slang we use. Chicano caló, sometimes called Pachuco, is a dialect derived from the Zoot-Suiters of the 1940's and 50's, with some words being traceable all the way to Nahuatl, the language of the ancient Aztecs of Mexico. For a list of common slang words we frequent, [URL="http://www.translationdirectory.com/dictionaries/dictionary033.htm"]click here[/URL].

There are a few requirements you must meet before joining us. You must be able to speak English well. We cannot have people within the faction who do not understand basic English. If you cannot understand or speak basic English, you will not be able to understand English riddled with Spanish slang. A Hispanic/Latino name (In Character) is required to join Los Aztecas, we will not accept people with African-American sounding names or other exotic variations. You must have Ventrilo downloaded, and must always be on vent while In Game. A mic is recommended, but not required. We require Ventrilo for several reasons. One is that it helps cut almost all of our OOC chat from the game. It helps us keep track of people, as well as lets us remain as organized as possible. However, we do not use it to replace IC radio, so if you need help IC, you will need to use the radio to call for backup.

Currently, there are two ways to join Los Aztecas. The first is by locating us In Game, and role-playing your way in. Do not expect to be accepted right away. We may need anywhere from 2-3 days to properly assess your role-play abilities as well as build IC trust.

The second way is by copying the application below and PMing it to myself, MaxMillz, or Reggy. Title it "Application [Your IG name]" and it will show us your interest in joining. The application is merely another way of introducing yourself to us and showing your interest in joining. Just as with people who found us IC, do not expect to be accepted right away. We may need a few days to properly assess your role-play abilities as well as build IC trust.
